This is a non-negotiable tool for finding focus and creating goals towards a fulfilling life.


Instructions:

1) Print it out.

2) Set your longevity goal (the grid reaches up to 120 years)

3) Fill in the months you’ve already lived since you were born and the ones that make sense with your longevity goal.

4) Have a quiet place and reflection to set the top 10 important goals for your life.

Tips:

  • You can brainstorm in your diary or on another piece of paper before completing the goals.
  • See your life in this small span of months and ask yourself: what do I want my life to be like? What do I want to achieve? Where do I want to invest my time? What is important to me?
  • Put yourself in your shoes as if you were on your deathbed and look back at your life: What would you regret?

5) When you’ve finished the exercise, hang it on your fridge or somewhere where you can fill in the months as they pass.

Why is this important?

Usually, we behave as if we’d live forever, so we waste our time in activities that give no satisfaction to anyone. This tool can help you re-focus on what is important for you.

When we have a clear vision of how we want to live our lives, we can make better decisions. For example if one of your goals is to “have a healthy body and mind” then perhaps you’ll want to start looking for what is necessary for that goal to happen: may that be building muscle, eating better or reducing elements of stress.

If this sheet alone is not helpful enough, I’d recommend using the apps that age your photos and print out a picture of yourself at age 120. If add that right next to the monthly exercise, it will boost it’s efficiency.
